Aloha: A Winter Luau!

We went to a Luau at Linn Benton Community College where we got to experience a little island culture in the middle of a cold, wet Oregon winter...

Swinging the Poi balls. These are sometimes used while hula dancing.

Making a lei with Ella's teacher, Marlene, who is from the Big Island of Hawaii.

Ella and I with our flowers and lei.

Learning to do the hula onstage with the dancers.

Wonderful pix! Looks like everyone enjoyed the trip to Seattle, the girls' birthday party, and the Hawaiian festival!

Ellaina, if you get a moment, can you e-mail me the following 3 pix for the photo frame I have at work? (1. The one of you and Ella wearing your leis; 2. The one Ella took of you three atop the Space Needle; and 3. The pic of the two girls atop the Space Needle with Seattle in the background. Thanks!

Love, Uncle Rich
